# Organisation Code

> Protect your institute with a 6-character access code

## What is the Organisation Code?

An optional 6-character code that every user must enter at login — in addition to their phone/email and password. It prevents outsiders from accessing your institute's data even if they obtain a valid password.

## Setting the Code

Go to **Settings → Organisation Code** and enter a 6-character alphanumeric code (e.g. `TRI001`).

<Note>
  Once set, **all users** — admins, staff, teachers, parents, and students — must enter this code to log in. Make sure to communicate it to everyone before enabling.

## Sharing the Code

Share the code with:

* Your staff and teachers via your internal group
* Parents and students at the time of admission (include it in the welcome message)

## Changing the Code

You can change the code at any time from Settings. Old sessions remain active — only new logins require the new code.

## Removing the Code

Set the code field to blank to disable it. All users can then log in without a code.
