The ShikshaOS Android app is available as an APK. Ask your ShikshaOS representative for the download link.
The app is distributed as a direct APK (not on Play Store). You may need to enable Install from unknown sources in your Android settings.

Installing

  1. Download the APK file
  2. Open it from your Downloads folder
  3. Tap Install — allow unknown sources if prompted
  4. Open ShikshaOS and log in with your phone number

Who is the App For?

The Android app is designed for parents and students. Teachers can also use it via the web portal on a mobile browser.

What Parents & Students Can Do on the App

  • View attendance record and percentage
  • Check fee balance and download receipts
  • See upcoming timetable
  • View test marks and results
  • Read notices and homework
  • View ID card
  • Receive absence alerts (WhatsApp, if enabled by your institute)

Downloading Files on Android

All exports (receipts, PDFs) are saved to your device’s Downloads folder. You can then share them via WhatsApp, email, or any app.

Keeping the App Updated

When a new version is released, download the updated APK from your institute. Reinstalling over the existing app preserves all your data (data is stored on the server, not the device).

Offline Support

The app requires an internet connection to load data. Actions such as viewing attendance and fees always need connectivity.
