Academic Year Structure
ShikshaOS uses April–March academic years, standard for Indian institutes:- 2025–26: 1 April 2025 — 31 March 2026
- 2026–27: 1 April 2026 — 31 March 2027
Setting the Current Year
Go to Settings → Academic Year and mark the current year as active. This scopes attendance reports and fee views to the right period.Year-End Rollover
At the end of March, run the rollover to start the new academic year:1
Graduate completing students
Mark all finishing students as Alumni before rolling over. See Alumni.

Run rollover
Go to Settings → Academic Year → Start New Year. This creates the new year and moves continuing students forward.

Update fees
Set new fee amounts for continuing students in their profiles.

Create new batches
Create batches for the new year (e.g. “11th Science Morning 2027”).
