Taking Attendance

Attendance is taken per lecture, not per day. Go to Timetable, click the date, then click Log on the scheduled class. That creates the lecture and opens its register, where you mark each student as: The Attendance page is for viewing rather than marking: Day View shows every lecture’s register for a date, By Student shows one student’s history.

Attendance Reports

View attendance % per student over any date range. Students below 75% are flagged on the dashboard.

Lecture-linked Attendance

When a class is scheduled in the Timetable and logged (via the Log button), attendance can be taken directly from the lecture register. This links absences to the specific subject, enabling subject-wise reports. The Attendance Type set when scheduling a class controls how the register is triggered:
  • Manual (default) — an admin or staff member opens the register and marks attendance
  • Automatic Attendance — attendance is recorded automatically
  • Auto Attendance + Notify — automatic attendance with notifications sent to parents

Bulk Attendance

Mark all students present in one click, then unmark absent ones. Faster for large batches.

Low Attendance Alerts

The dashboard alerts strip shows the five students with the lowest attendance below 75% over the last 30 days (minimum 5 classes to qualify). The Needs Attention feed is separate and tracks different signals: absence streaks, dropping marks and stale enquiries.
