What is a Batch?

A batch is a class group — for example “11th Science Morning 2026” or “NEET Repeater Batch A”. Students are enrolled in batches, and attendance, fees, and timetables are organised by batch.

Creating a Batch

Go to Batches → Create Batch and fill in:
  • Name — descriptive name (e.g. “12th Commerce Evening 2026”)
  • Standard — the class level (11th, 12th, Dropper, etc.)
  • Subjects — subjects taught in this batch
  • Teacher — primary teacher (optional)
  • Fee — default fee for students in this batch (can be overridden per student)

Batch vs Standard

  • Standard is the category (11th Science, 12th Commerce)
  • Batch is the specific group within that standard
The fee collection charts group data both by batch and by standard.

Archiving a Batch

When a batch finishes (end of academic year), you can archive it. Archived batches are hidden from active views but their data is preserved.
