What are Installments?

Installments let you define a payment schedule for a batch — when each portion of the fee is due and how much. Parents see the upcoming due dates on their portal.

Setting Up Installments

Go to Batches → [Batch Name] → Installments and add entries: Add as many installments as needed. They don’t need to sum to the total fee — they’re due-date reminders, not payment locks.

How Installments Appear

  • Students and parents see upcoming installments with due dates on their portal
  • Overdue installments are highlighted in red
  • Admins see installment status per student on the fee page

Late Fee Interaction

If late fees are enabled in Settings, they are calculated from the installment due date, not the start of the month. This ensures the late fee only kicks in after the agreed payment window.

Editing Installments

You can add, edit, or delete installments at any time. Changes apply to all students in the batch immediately.
